NO DIRECTOR -- NO SCRIPT These films can take years to prepare for and produce. All acting is improvised without rehearsing. Storylines evolve, if at all. Editing is primarily in camera and there is only one take. Many films are constructed entirely in camera using only the features found within that camera. These mostly follow the "dogman 2000" rules, which are inspired by the "dogme 95" vows of chastity.

Ferocious The new revised Dogman 2000 Style Shooting was one night at a warehouse party in downtown Seattle. Principle photography by Byl Cote, Ben Szemkus and Guy Mason. This film is edited in final cut pro, unlike most dogman films that are in camera. The editing is in a semi-documentary style, since the movie was still shot in the standard dogman style, and a new movie was then made out of the captured footage. This is also the first movie with a custom made soundtrack. Download If you have a phone modem play it this way RealPlayer See stills from this movie below. |
