Gehenna Page

Gehenna is the name of the first house that I lived in, as a college student. I lived there for only a few months, because the landlord didn't care about the place at all, but it is a part of me. I didn't name it Gehenna, those that occupied it and partied in it before me did. My roommates and I are kept the tradition alive.

Nick and Kary(with beer) hang out on the porch.

The city of Buffalo decided that our house was a slum and so we had to take the gulf sign down. It still went up during parties. They didn't even look inside. It shows how corrupt the system is. They just want it to look nice outside. Nice and relaxed, not fun, no character, nothing to stand out. It's garbage.

This is Angus, Gary's dog.

Generation Magazine, the literary journal of the University at Buffalo, did a story on this house only a short while after I moved out. If you're ambitious maybe you can find it. It came out in the fall of '96.

Ed lays on the Gulf sign, before we had to take it down.

Stay tuned for more photos!
